How to Combine Colors Like a PRO!

Combining and matching up colours for our outfits can prove to be quite a difficult task and if we're not careful, we might end up making serious fashion blunders and come out looking clown-like....
I stumbled upon this colour wheel online..... I found it extremely helpful, i hope you do too.

THE COLOUR WHEEL...

With the help of the color wheel above, the following combo's can be made;

Complementary colors are the colors that are directly opposite from one another on the color wheel. They are contrasting and stand out against each other. (i.e. yellow and violet; blue and orange; red and green, etc.)

Analog colors are any three colors arranged next to each other on the color wheel. (i.e. yellow, orange and yellow-orange; yellow and yellow-green; violet, blue and blue-violet, etc.)

Colors that form right (90 degree) angles with each other on the color wheel (i.e. yellow and red-orange; blue and violet-red; green and orange, etc.)

Colors that form a T on the color wheel (i.e. blue, orange, and violet-red; yellow, violet, and red-orange; yellow, blue-green, and red-orange, etc.)

Colors that form an X on the color wheel (i.e. blue, orange, violet-red, and yellow, violet, blue-green, and red-orange, etc.)

 Color-families:
You can substitute pink with red, which are of the same color family and still be able to pull off the combos based on the color wheel.

Neutral Colors:
These colors will go with practically any color on the color wheel e.g. White, black, brown and shades of blue found in denim

I hope this post was helpful to you as it was to me....feel free to drop your comments or any questions you may have.
